Mrs Hyde (nursery support teacher) arrived yesterday armed with compost and pots .The purpose was to go out  to the garden with the nursery children and cut off the runners from the strawberry plants and put them in the  pots to take them home to their parents. Hopefully they will be looked after and provide a nice supply of stawberries next summer! The children examined the runners, talked  about planting and even discovered a worm in the compost. May lead to a project on mini-beasts.
