Today we all visited the Wind farm. Despite the blue skies it was very windy.
 
Did you know ………………..  ?
 
… that when the staff climb inside the tower they must wear a harness. When they go up it can shake from side to side. (Sarah)
… that when the people go up inside the tower they need to be in pairs incase one of them hurts themselves. (Kyle)
… it takes 10-12 minutes to go up the ladder to the top and it takes about 7-10minutes to go up by lift. (Megan)
… that the speed at the tip of the blade can be around 104 mph. (David)
… that there are 16 towers which are 70m high and 4 towers which are 80m high. (Archie)
… that there is a cage around the front of the hub and the staff use it to go outside and climb inside the hub. (Lewis)
